What up fam. I’m Mo’Reese Madu, a pan-african author, poet, and screenwriter. This blog is a record of my thoughts on decolonizing our minds from the Eurocentric ideals we’ve inherited, and an exploration into more indigenous and fulfilling ways to live. As a book and film lover, I also write about what I read and watch – but I only choose narratives that promote black empowerment or personal growth.
Previously, I wrote for an internationally-read blog that I co-founded and managed from 2014-2019. Currently, I run a small publishing start-up, where I’m working on a variety of conscious books and scripts made specifically for “us”. My debut novel, The Perceptionist, is available everywhere books are sold. And my first movie is expected to release in 2022.
