Thousands of years ago, our ancient African ancestors gave the wisest piece advice ever know to mankind. And that is to know yourself.
This advice was placed above the entrance of each temple and lodge in ancient Egypt — the original holy land — that served as an academic and scientific learning center.
Why? Because they understood that the knowledge of self is the beginning of all wisdom.
But today, with so many of our elders and leaders far removed from their ancestral roots, they have replaced this ancient advice with knowing characters in books instead.
I believe if we placed as much emphasis on knowing ourselves as we do trying to get to know a deity from a story, we’d finally meet the one we’ve been seeking. 🤔
