What up fam. I’m Mo’Reese Madu, a pan-african author, poet, and screenwriter. This blog is a record of my thoughts on decolonizing our minds from the Eurocentric ideals we’ve inherited, and an exploration into more indigenous and fulfilling ways to live. As a book and film lover, I also write about what I read and watch – but I only choose narratives that promote black empowerment or personal growth.
Previously, I wrote for TruthOverTradition.com, an internationally-read blog that I co-founded and managed from 2014-2019. Currently, I run a small media start-up, where I’m writing a variety of empowering books and movies made specifically for “us”. My debut novel, The Perceptionist, is available everywhere books are sold. And my first movie, Differences, is now streaming on Tubi.
